I designed a fully functional card game including illustrated cards, rules, and a box design.
Wombo Combo is a family-friendly card game where the goal is to build the best sandwich possible! In order to have the highest points, you must work towards specific combos listed in the rules. The person with the most points wins the game at the end of three rounds!
I wanted to create a game for my family since we always loved playing games growing up. It took a lot of play testing to develop a functioning game, but it was a fun challenge. I couldn't have done it alone. I played with my friends and family and they all gave me critiques on how it could be better!
My friend helped me set up a small photoshoot for the physical cards. It took a while to get good shots, but it helped me to understand photography a little bit more.
I started in my sketchbook for initial concepts and then moved to Procreate to test color schemes and digitize the characters.
